Ring out, my very own song! From the depths of the seas, to the ends of the skies! Now that I’m all packed up, it’s time to start anew once more — another new challenge. It’s my first time living alone, as well as my first time being away from Kanazawa… Worries like, “I wonder if I’ll be able to make new friends” and, “What if I can’t keep up with the class material” fill my head… The start of a new semester always comes with worries and concerns, they seem never ending. But, I’m sure I’ll be able to push through. One step at a time, I’ll be starting from “zero” again!

Ah... I’m nervous after all! To stand on stage, I mean... Especially for “be proud”, a song that unabashedly shows my true feelings. I’ve always loved the story of “The Little Mermaid”. To become sea foam after laying one’s all on the line one last time… I used to think that I could throw anything away if it meant that I’d be able to fulfil my dreams. But now... Hehe... When I raise my gaze, and see the dazzling sight of mermaid green — “There are so many people, all waiting to hear my song”... yes, I’ve realized that now. Even if I’m the only one on stage, I’m never alone. Even if I have no voice, I will sing. Even if my legs don’t work, I’ll continue to walk. I always thought I loved a bittersweet ending. But perhaps, I’ve also come to love a happy ending too. Well then, until next time. No matter how many times I am reborn, I will meet you again. I'm Otomune Kozue.
