Let’s do our best, Kozu. It’s something I never would’ve thought of myself, so I’ll give it my all. I’ve already done everything I could think of.

They say doing everything you can is what’s called “effort.” But I can’t wake up in the morning, and I forget things even when I try not to. I struggled with what people call an effort. It's difficult. And back then, whenever I said that, I’d get scolded a lot. “Must be nice being a genius”, they said. I eventually realized that genius wasn’t supposed to be insulting. Now, I have someone who teach me how to put in effort. So I’m not struggling anymore.

Saya teaches me all sorts of things. Back in the day, Kozu used to do that for me. But she said you need “qualifications” to teach someone. And since she doesn’t have them anymore, Kozu just quit telling me stuff. I didn't think I was qualified to be a school idol either, so I thought it was the same thing and didn't say anything. One time, I asked Saya if she really had the qualifications to teach me. She was so surprised. But then she replied, “Qualified or not, I can’t just step back and do nothing.” That made me happy.
