At the end of a live show, I always get a little sad. Once the show ends, we tidy up with everyone and telling each other, “Tomorrow, we’ll do our best again.” Even after I’m tucked into bed, the images from that day’s live remain clear in my mind. My heart feels so warm as I think, “Ah, that was so much fun.” Right away, I find myself wanting to meet everyone again. This time, though, I don’t feel lonely! Because we made a promise. We said we’ll always be together. That’s it! All we had to do was make our next promise. That’s why we created this song, Hanamusubi!

You know, I think I just really like promises. Because if there’s a promise, then all I have to do is wait for that day to come. Even if I’m by myself, I don’t feel alone. Honestly, I’d love to make all kinds of promises... like sending a “good morning” message every day, or a “good night” message before bed. But I figured that might be a bit too much, so let me have this one big promise. I’ll look at my pinky every so often and remember. We’ll be together again at the next live.
