Great work. That was quite the run, it was refreshing to watch. You’re quite the athlete, Izumi-san. It's a known fact, and one you don't deny, that you can handle anything thrown at you. But when I watch you run, I can really see the effort and discipline behind it. It's a real shame, even if I praise you for it, you aren't the type to actually be happy about it, are you?

That was “Blue Moment.” Did you enjoy it? I wonder how Kosuzu-san interpreted it? She described it as a collection of snapshots from her summer that I simply put together. I suppose that’s not entirely wrong, but... well, I feel like my own perspective ended up playing a rather large role in the final result. I’m sure that between this summer and last summer’s movie making, Kosuzu-san has had quite a lot of fun. That’s why her motivation this year has been so immense. I started with the feeling that I absolutely had to turn that level of passion into a song, and when I asked Kosuzu-san what she wished to do this summer, well, fufu, the lyrics nearly came together on their own. That’s why this song is sort of the way I see Kosuzu-san through my eyes. If she believes this is a song about her summer, then that’s fine. In fact, that’s how it should be. But, this song is about my summer too. The one I spent with her.

Summer is quite nice. We’ve already become 3rd years, and this marks our final summer at Hasunosora. I think this must be how Tsuzuri-senpai and the other seniors felt last year. There’s a sadness to it. However, more than that, I feel so incredibly strongly that I want to make this summer more fun than the last, or the one before that! Have my feelings boiled up in the summer heat? Or perhaps Kosuzu-san’s go-getting has started to affect me as well. I think both could be true. Let's treasure each day, and live every one to the fullest. Perhaps I’ll keep a summer diary for the first time in a while. With a diary, anytime I want to put it into a song, it delivers fresh memories of that time.
