See you later, Megu-chan. Let’s both captivate the world! This time, Ruri will be the one to make that promise to you.. We might not be doing this together, but you’ve got your way you want to do things, and I’ve got mine. I’m sure someday, that’ll bring us back together again! That’s what it means for us to both captivate the world!

This is “Echoes Beyond.” It’s every part of Ruri’s past 3 years. I’ve packed everything into this song. Ruri started out just wanting to be a school idol with Megu-chan. That was it. This song is the story of my resolve to aim for the school idol I want to be, and the dreams that lie even further beyond that. I might be trying a little too hard to sound cool there, Hehe. If I think about it though, this started out as something I was doing for Megu-chan’s sake too. It was going to be a song that helps Megu-chan captivate the world, while she’s one step ahead of me. But I finally realized that those goals are one and the same. If Megu-chan is out to captivate the world, then so is Ruri. And Ruri’ll captivate the world just as much as Megu-chan. To match her brilliance, Ruri had to go back to the beginning and find Ruri's own strength. Because, Ruri’s desire to ‘captivate the world’ all started from Ruri’s weakness. And it’s because of that weakness that Ruri has things only she can do! Things she needed to do! Hey, Ruri’ll do it, Megu-chan. Ruri’ll do it Ruri’s way. I’ll show you how I captivate the whole world!

Ruri’s past three years. It’s thanks to everyone that I can sing this song. I was so happy when everybody sang alongside me. And I was glad we all got to sing together in the same outfits. Singing side by side with everyone was great! But, the thing that made me happiest was the sense that I only arrived at this song thanks to having everyone there with me. Ruri knows just how weak she can be. But at times like that, everyone’s there to reach out a hand and pick me up. If I’d never came to Hasunosora, Ruri probably wouldn’t have ended up doing much more than idolizing Megu-chan. Everyone here supported me. Megu-chan, the seniors, my classmates, the juniors. Ruri’s happy. And the reason Ruri can keep on pushing like this long after Megu-chan’s graduation is thanks to Hime. She’s been there to get loud with me, support me, and save me. This time around, she was the one that was there every step of the way, thinking of things to do alongside Ruri. So, while I have the chance, I want to say: Hime, thank you. Thanks for being Ruri’s partner. I’m singing this one for you!
