The silently falling snow is beautiful as it piles up. When winter really sets in, I kinda feel more relaxed. I start realizing things I wouldn't normally think about. Like, what color is the bridge underneath all this snow? Wait, what was it again...? Huh!? What was it!?

I thought that everyone looked so pretty in their New Year kimonos, but I couldn't believe that I'd get to wear one with them! Both with all the seniors and with Ginko-chan and Hime-chan too! Well... does it look good on me? From what I can tell, the hem isn't dragging along the ground, the sleeves aren't too long, and the measurements are perfect! But... maybe I'm just not elegant enough? Figures... Well, I guess that's how it is. I guess this challenge isn't gonna work out. But wearing this to a New Year's shrine visit makes it really feel like the year's started, so I'm glad that I wore it. It's all thanks to being part of the School Idol Club! Huh? Being inelegant and not suiting the clothes are two totally different things? Wait... are you saying that these really do look good on me? Hehe, thanks! I hope lots of good stuff happens this year!

When I was thinking of doing some New Year-like stuff, I tried out some Fukuwarai, but it was a total disaster. Maybe I messed it up. I thought I'd put all the parts in the right spots. But I guess I was fooled by the whims of the game. Oh, and I drew lots of fortunes. I made sure to keep going until I pulled a Great Fortune! Ginko-chan bought a... hamaya? Anyway, when she was holding it, she looked super strong! Hime-chan came out swinging, saying that we'd have a serious competition over the fortunes, but when she came back, she looked kinda sad. I guess she lost. Maybe she drew a Misfortune? Ginko-chan suggested that we should tie our fortunes over on the fortune rack, so I tied all the ones that weren't so good on there, while Hime-chan said something about having her revenge. I never realized there were games like that. Unlike me, Hime-chan only draws one fortune a year. I thought that was really cool, but Ginko-chan just sighed and told me that was totally normal. Huh!? B-But my old friend Sekka-chan always told me to keep drawing until I got a good one!
